1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the After Dark section and to view cigar content. Many venues set their own minimum age of 21. By using the site you confirm you meet these requirements and that accessing this content is lawful where you are.

2. What this site is

Gentlemen's Atlas is an information directory. We do not operate, own or manage any venue. We do not sell admission, arrange meetings with individuals, or offer, advertise or facilitate sexual services of any kind.

3. Listings and advertising

Listings are provided by venues or compiled from public sources. Paid placements ("Featured", "VIP") are advertising and are labelled as such. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of a venue's quality, safety, pricing or legal compliance.

4. Prohibited use

• Using the site if you are under the required age
• Posting or requesting escort, prostitution or sexual services
• Scraping, reproducing or reselling directory content
• Submitting false information or impersonating a venue

5. Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for your visit to any venue or for losses arising from reliance on listing information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK and EU.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of Gentlemen's Atlas is established. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence.

The After Dark section contains information about adult entertainment venues and is intended only for adults. The site contains no sexually explicit images or video.

Venue information, including opening hours, prices, dress codes and entry policies, can change without notice. Confirm details directly with the venue before visiting.

Laws on adult entertainment differ between countries, states and cities. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law where you are and where you travel.

18 U.S.C. § 2257 statement

This site contains no actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct as defined in 18 U.S.C. § 2256. Its content is therefore not subject to the record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75.

Tobacco

Cigar lounge listings are editorial information for adults. We do not sell tobacco products, and we accept paid placements from tobacco businesses only where local law allows it.

Content labelling

The After Dark section is labelled with the RTA ("Restricted To Adults") label so parental-control software can block it.

This policy applies to the After Dark section. We list only venues that hold a valid licence for adult entertainment where they operate. Before a paid listing goes live we check the licence or permit number with the venue and, where possible, the issuing authority.

We never list

• Escort services, independent performers or any person offering companionship or sexual services
• Brothels, FKK clubs, massage parlours or any business offering sexual services, including where locally legal
• Live-sex shows
• Venues operating in countries where adult entertainment is illegal

Zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for human trafficking, forced labour and the exploitation of minors. Any listing connected to suspected exploitation is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities, including the National Crime Agency (UK), Europol or national police (EU), and the National Human Trafficking Hotline or NCMEC (US).

Venues must confirm that everyone working on their premises is 18 or older and works there of their own free will. We remove listings that breach this policy without refund.

Who we are

Gentlemen's Atlas is the data controller for this website. Contact us about privacy at hello@gentlemensatlas.eu.

What we collect

• Your age confirmation and cookie choice, stored on your device
• Technical data such as IP address and browser type, for security
• Analytics data, only if you accept analytics cookies
• What you send us through our forms. Submissions are stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc., which acts as our processor.

We do not ask for your name and do not create accounts for visitors. Because an interest in this site may reveal information about your private life, we treat all visitor data as sensitive and keep it to a minimum.

Legal bases

Consent (analytics cookies and newsletter), legitimate interest (security and fraud prevention), contract (venue subscriptions) and legal obligation (tax and record keeping).

Retention

Server logs: 30 days. Report submissions: 2 years. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Venue billing records: as long as tax law requires.

Your rights (UK and EU)

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to the ICO (UK), your national data protection authority (EU), or the CNIL in France.

California residents

You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals.

International transfers

Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Guest reviews are submitted through our review form. Before publishing, we check that each review describes a genuine visit: reviewers must confirm this, give the month of their visit and a contact email, which is never published. We reject reviews from venue staff or competitors, reviews that name or describe dancers or staff, and anything unlawful or defamatory.

We publish positive and negative reviews alike. Venues cannot pay to publish, remove, reorder or edit reviews, and paid placements have no effect on ratings. Ratings are the average of published reviews.

We use strictly necessary storage to remember your age confirmation and cookie choices. These need no consent. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them, and rejecting them is as easy as accepting. We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Change cookie settings

Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or infringes their rights using the report form or by email to hello@gentlemensatlas.eu. We confirm receipt, review the report, act promptly and tell you what we decided and why.

Venues whose listing is removed or restricted receive a statement of reasons and can ask for the decision to be reviewed.
